HCVP participants, are you tired of renting and think you are ready to take the next big step into homeownership? LMHA is now accepting applications for the Homeownership Program classes taking place May 11th & 18th from 10am – 3pm. Learn topics such as banking, money management, credit repair, and cover the entire home buying process from beginning to end. Not sure if you are ready to purchase, but would like start preparing for when the time comes? You can still attend. Only those wishing to transition into the Homeownership program are required to apply. The classes are open to the public. For Homeownership Program eligibility criteria, to pick-up an application, or to register to attend, visit LMHA 1600 Kansas Ave. Lorain. You can also call Jani Justice at 440-288-7485 or email at jjustic@lmha.org for more information. Applications and verifications are due no later than April 19, 2019 for the May session.

by Administrator April / 16 / 2018LMHA’s Proposed 2018 Annual Plan and Capital Fund Program Five-Year Action Plan
On April 16, 2018 LMHA submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) its Board-approved 2018 Annual Plan, Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy, HCVP Administrative Policy, and Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan. If approved by HUD, these documents will become effective July 1, 2018.
Posted below are the above-listed documents; the challenged elements to the proposed plans; LMHA’s Certification of Compliance with the PHA Plan and Related Regulations; the Certifications of Consistency with Consolidated Plans from the Lorain County Administrators and the cities of Lorain, Elyria, Oberlin, and Amherst; the 2018 Capital Fund Program Grant; and the 2018 Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan. The LMHA 5-Year Plan was submitted to HUD in 2017.
